David Lewis grew up in Lutherville, Maryland and spent many of his childhood vacations with his family in the Green Mountains of Vermont. Always skilled with his hands, he discovered a passion and talent for creating handcrafted heirloom fine furniture while attending the Vermont Woodworking School. David enjoys the process of creating pieces using sustainably grown and responsibly harvested lumber. He is an artist, making one piece at a time, knowing they will be present, valued and loved for generations.

David currently lives and works in Essex, Vermont with his wife Sarah, his daughter Emmy, his son Otis and two dogs, Harry and Polly.
